Bernard K. Nance (1955-1993)

Bernard Nance was born on July 7, 1955, in Oakland to Jack W and Marie (Chapdelaine) Nance. He was raised and educated in Napa, graduating from Vintage High School in 1973.

He began working at Kaiser Steel and later worked for Basalt Rock Company. Following the earthquake in October of 1989, he worked on the Bay Bridge reconstruction and for the last year had worked for Ogletree’s Welding and Metal Fabrication in St. Helena. Bernard was a member of the Boilermakers Union.

Bernard is survived by his parents, Jack W. and Marie Nance, and two brothers, Robert and Bradley, all of Napa, and one niece and one nephew. He was predeceased by a brother, John, in 1983.

Interment was at Tulocay Cemetery, 411 Coombsville Road, with Rev. Father Michael Cleary officiating. Services were under the direction of Richard Pierce Funeral Service.
