Apr 22, 1954 – Nov 13, 2022

Richard Lee St. Clair was born on April 22nd, 1954 to Jerald & Melvalee St. Clair, and passed away on November 13, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Richard was born and raised in the beautiful San Francisco Bay area, and spent most of his life enjoying every minute of being a California boy. He embodied the fun-loving, charismatic, and adventurous spirit of the rolling hills of Napa, and the busy city life of San Francisco.

As a young man, he entered the navy after graduating from Vintage High School in Napa. He found the military to be a bit too structured, which lead him back home to the Bay area where he went to work for the Sonoma Developmental Center. There, he excelled and eventually obtained his Pharmacist license and really enjoyed mixing and preparing medications for the clients. During this time, he would meet his first partner of 17 years, David. He and David could be seen out in the city dancing at the many clubs every weekend and enjoying the disco life.

Richard would work for the center for 33 years before retiring to Nevada. It was here he would meet his husband of 13 years, Cimarron, whose Native American Culture he embraced whole-heartedly. Richard enjoyed his retirement to the absolute fullest from volunteering as a tour guide at the Haunted Washoe Club of Virginia City, to off-roading in the Nevada Desert with his husband and many, many, friends. He had a passion for history and a knowledge of classic cars which would astound any enthusiast. Being from Napa he also loved drinking wine and entertaining. He could walk into any room and make instant friends with his charming wit, and fearless observations. His personality was bar none, and energy and candidness were simply addicting.

Richard’s infectious love of life and spontaneity, would curate amazing lifelong friendships and exciting experiences. He loved traveling to new places and was an enthusiastic foodie. His beloved family and friends will cherish the many memories made, and will miss him beyond measure.

Richard is preceded in death by his mother and father, his brother Gary St Clair, and David. He is survived by his husband, Cimarron Sam, his brother Guy St Clair, nephews Jeff and Robert (Hillary) St. Clair, great nephews Jordan(Becky) and Connor St Clair, great niece Lexi St Clair, and numerous other family members.

A celebration of life and spreading of his ashes occured in the spring at Lake Almanor, CA.
